As part of its efforts to support women and girls in conflict zones and promote their right to health, the Kayan Organization for Women’s Empowerment, with generous support from the Nidaa Organization, distributed 80 health and hygiene kits to women and girls in the Adila locality of East Darfur on March 1, 2026. The distribution took place at the Adila Secondary School.
This initiative aims to address the growing humanitarian needs resulting from the ongoing war, which has directly impacted the living conditions of families. It specifically targets women and girls aged between 19 and 40 who are suffering from a shortage of personal hygiene supplies.
The event included an awareness session conducted by the Kayan team focusing on the importance of personal health care and breaking the social stigma associated with menstruation. This was followed by the distribution of the kits in a highly positive atmosphere. The beneficiaries expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation for the initiative, noting that it helps alleviate the financial burden on families while promoting health and social stability within the community.
The Kayan Organization emphasized that this activity provided direct support to 80 women and girls, raised awareness about reproductive health and personal hygiene, and boosted the morale of the beneficiaries. في إطار جهودها لدعم النساء والفتيات في مناطق النزاع وتعزيز حقهن في الصحة، نفذت منظمة كيان لتمكين المرأة، بدعم كريم من منظمة نداء، يوم 1 مارس 2026 نشاطًا لتوزيع (80) حقيبة صحية للنساء والفتيات بمحلية عديلة – شرق دارفور، في مدرسة عديلة الثانوية.
وتهدف هذه المبادرة إلى تلبية الاحتياجات الإنسانية المتزايدة الناتجة عن استمرار الحرب، والتي أثرت بشكل مباشر على أوضاع الأسر، وخصوصًا النساء والفتيات اللاتي تراوحت أعمارهن بين 19 و40 عامًا، حيث يعانين من نقص مستلزمات النظافة الشخصية.
وشمل النشاط جلسة توعوية قدمها فريق منظمة كيان حول أهمية العناية بالصحة الشخصية وكسر الوصمة الاجتماعية المرتبطة بالحيض، تلتها عملية توزيع الحقائب وسط أجواء إيجابية، حيث عبّرت المستفيدات عن شكرهن وتقديرهن لهذه المبادرة التي تخفف من العبء عن الأسر وتعزز الاستقرار الصحي والاجتماعي في المجتمع.
وأكدت المنظمة أن هذا النشاط ساهم في دعم مباشر لـ 80 امرأة وفتاة، وتعزيز الوعي بالصحة الإنجابية والنظافة الشخصية، ورفع الروح المعنوية للمستفيدات. وأشارت إلى ضرورة استمرار مثل هذه البرامج بصورة دورية، وتوسيع نطاقها ليشمل مناطق ومدارس أخرى، ودمجها مع أنشطة توعوية منتظمة داخل المجتمع.
